In response to the call from Long An province’s authorities, SCB announced its donation of VND1.2 billion to help build houses for 20 families who are poor relatives of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and war martyrs in Long An province.
Thanks to that support, 20 houses are under construction and will soon welcome all underprivileged people of financial hardship.
“SCB embraces deep gratitude to the heroic mothers, relatives of martyrs and wounded soldiers for their contribution and sacrifice towards the cause of national liberation. We have made similar donations in different provinces” said Mr. Dinh Van Thanh, Chairman of SCB.
“We will continue this traditional responsibility which is the bank’s core value in the future and generate the positive impact to the society,” he said.
“We will soon be able to worship Mother in a new house,” said Ms. Vo Thi Dung, who assumes the regular duty to pay homage to Tran Thi Ruc, a late Vietnamese heroic mother in My Hanh Nam Commune of Duc Hoa District. “The news has brought great happiness to us”.
Together with the target of a sustainable development, SCB has always been involved in numerous charitable activities so that the bank can be in line with its mission “SCB - The Bank for a Better Community”.
