SCB is one of 500 strongest banks in Asia Pacific.

In the framework of the annual Sibos International Payment Conference in London, The Asian Banker Magazine held a ceremony to honor the 500 strongest banks in the world with the participation of representatives of banks and financial institutions from Asia and around the world. This is an annual award to honor banks and financial institutions for achieving good results, voted for many items such as Transaction Banking Awards, Retail Banking Awards, and Asian Banker 500, etc.

The Asian Banker 500 is the first and most prestigious ranking in the world based on a detailed and transparent voting process to recognize the achievements of commercial banks on the criteria: Asset size of banks compared to gross domestic product (GDP); Growth of balance sheet of loans and net deposit mobilization; Risk management; Profitability and sustainability of profits; The quality and creditworthiness of the loan; and Liquidity of assets when adverse circumstances occur.

The Asian Banker Magazine voted for the Strongest Bank category based on the quality of the balance sheet - the first and most prestigious annual assessment list in the world since 2007. The evaluation criteria of the ranking of the Strongest Bank in Asia - Pacific region are based on the strict quantitative assessment of financial performance throughout the year of banks in countries: Australia, Bangladesh, Brunei, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Macao, Malaysia, Mongolia, Burma, New Zealand, Pakistan, Philippines, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Taiwan (China), Thailand and Vietnam.

Among the 10 Vietnamese banks named in the list of 500 strongest banks in Asia - Pacific (The Strongest Banks Rankings - Strongest Banks Asia Pacific), SCB ranked 4th with 2.81 points of strength index on a 5-point scale, and ranked 206/500 banks were named for the area. Compared to 2018, SCB has increased by nearly 90 places. At the same time, the bank is also holding 295th position in the list of 500 Largest Banks Rankings - Largest Banks Asia Pacific, up nearly 30 places compared to last year.
