SCB honorably received the Award “Outstanding innovative banking product/service 2018”

On 28/11/2018, in Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam Retail Banking Forum 2018 was co-organized by Vietnam Banks Association (VNBA) and the IDG Vietnam. In this Forum, the Outstanding Banking Awards were given to banks having excellent operations and contribution to the banking & financial industry and Vietnamese economy.

At this event, SCB was honorably awarded “the Outstanding Innovative Banking Product/Service” for the product - the deposit certificate. This award recognized the significant success of the launch of SCB certificate deposit in the marketplace.

Launched from 15/5/2018 to 31/10/2018, SCB deposit certificate brought in about VND20,000 billion with more than 40,000 participants. Up to now, this product is still drawing a lot of interest from customers due to its attractive interest rate and high liquidity.

SCB deposit certificates have interest rate of 6.8% p.a. for a tenor of 189 days with varied denominations as VND100 million, 200 million, 500 million, 1billion, 2 billion and 5 billion. The certificate owners may make transfer by selling, donating, exchanging, etc. to other persons while enjoying competitive interest rates compared to other normal savings mode of the same tenor.

Earlier, SCB was awarded with “the Best Deposit Certificate of the Year Vietnam 2018” by the Global Banking and Finance Review.

Also in 2018, SCB received many awards from well-known magazines such as: “Best Commercial Bank, Vietnam 2018” by Word Finance Magazine, “Best Bank for Information Technology Vietnam 2018” by Global Banking and Finance Review, “Best Customer Service Bank Vietnam 2018” by Global Business Outlook, “Foreign Exchange Bank of The Year – Vietnam 2018” by The European, “Brand Excellence in Corporate Governance Bank Vietnam 2018” by Finance Digest, etc.
