SCB continued to receive an award in overseas card operation

SCB has been awarded the title “Leadership in Operations Excellence for Cross Border 2019” by Visa. This is in recognition of the bank’s effort in offering best benefits for customers using SCB cards.

The award ceremony is in the framework of conference on “Future of Commerce” organized by Visa to share knowledge that contributes to the improvement of payment networks. The reason for SCB to get this award is the high overseas approval rate (over 96%).

In 06/2019, SCB has been awarded the title “Leadership in cross-border payment volume growth”. And in 11/2019, SCB was honored to receive the “Outstanding innovative banking product/service” award thanks to international credit SCB S-Care.

Mr. Le Quang Huy, Chief Officer, Card & Digital Bank said: “The above awards are evidences of SCB’s effort in bringing best utilities to customers. Our bank will continue to develop and introduce new card lines with advanced technology to customers; also, we will push the non-cash transactions and payments as per guidelines of Vietnam government and State Bank”.

SCB introduced Mastercard credit cards in 2013 and Visa ones in 2016. In the first 6 months of 2019, 16,794 international credit and 44,994 debit cards have been issued. Especially, international credit card SCB S-Care, launched in 05/2019, offers benefits in health care and community value. As of 08/2019, after 03 months of implementation, there have been nearly 10,000 customers opening SCB S-Care cards, increasing revenue from card services by 11%. With the message “Trao yeu thuong, tron hanh phuc” (Embracing happiness), upon using SCB S-Care cards, customers are, together with SCB, raising the charity fund “SCB – Care for the community”. Annually, SCB will deduct VND1 billion from card service revenues for cancer patients.

Recently, SCB also received many other awards such as: “Best Retail Bank Vietnam 2019” by World Finance Magazine, “Best Banking Technology -Vietnam 2019” by The European, “Best Credit Card Offerings- Vietnam 2019” by Global Business Outlook, etc.
