Beware credit card limit upgrade ‘offerings’ from bogus bank employees

Dear our valued customers,

SCB’s reputation has been affected seriously by some scammers IMPERSONATING BANK EMPLOYEES QUALIFIED TO GIVE MORE SPECIAL OFFERS, then stealing and causing losses to the customers.

Here are some of the criminals’ tricks that you should be aware of:

• Card limit upgrade offerings
• Friend requests to chat via social networks (Zalo, Facebook, etc.)

Then those fraudsters may ask you to:

• Provide images of your ID cards/Credit cards
• Access fake links and provide card information
• Provide OTP authentication code

These tricks may cause losses to your:

• Money in credit card accounts
• Card information
• Credit files

To protect yourselves from increasingly sophisticated and complex scammers’ tricks, please pay attention to the following advice:

• DO NOT share or provide personal information, ID documents and images of your cards.
• DO NOT provide card information (card number, CVV/CVC number), OTP authentication code to anyone.
• DO NOT access strange websites or links in SMS, Zalo, Viber, Emails, etc
